SLiP/MAX-14/2 takes everything that makes AudioQuest's in-wall cables so attractive to installers—the super-slippery, easy-to-pull CL3/FT4-rated jacket with easy-to-read feet and meter markers—and adds maximum AQ performance: An exceptionally refined combination of Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors affords performance approaching that of the purer PSC+, but at a lower cost. Like all AudioQuest cables, SLiP/MAX's conductors are controlled for low-noise directionality—an uncommon and labor-intensive design element even in the world of audiophile cables, rarer still for a custom-install design. In addition, carbon-layer noise-dissipation works to reject RF-noise while the latest evolution of AQ's concentric conductor geometry significantly improves clarity and resolution by further minimizing the distortion caused by strand interaction. The net result is simply the highest performing, easiest-to-install CL3/FT4-certified line of speaker cables in the business!

  • Perfect-Surface Copper+ and Long-Grain Copper: SLiP/MAX uses a carefully finessed combination of extremely pure Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and high-purity Long-Grain Copper (LGC). Compared to common conductor metals, LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, fewer impurities, and fewer grain boundaries for lower noise and distortion. The astonishingly smooth and pure PSC+ further eliminates harshness and greatly increases natural warmth, resolution, and clarity.
  • Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors: In a conventional multi-strand cable, distortion caused by electrical and magnetic strand interaction is compounded as each strand changes position within the bundle. In an AQ Semi-Solid Concentric cable, strands within the bundle maintain their fixed relationships, significantly reducing distortion.
