Because Headfonia's Felix had lived for years with AudioQuest Robin Hood speaker cables, one might reasonably think he'd know what to expect from their successor, Lone Ranger.
One would be incorrect.
"Often in cable reviews," Felix writes, "we find the analogy of the view through a clear window. I don’t find this to be exactly accurate with the Lone Ranger, though, as it felt more like it smashed the window, removing any glass between the listener and the music."
Felix goes on to admire Lone Ranger's muscular low end, expansive soundstaging, palpable imaging, and its ability to more fully and emotionally immerse the listener in music.
He concludes, "The Lone Ranger is a fantastic cable that offers remarkable resolution, texture, and control. It delivers superior definition and detailing, but what it does best is immersion. It draws me into the music in a way that I cannot let go. Hours have passed unnoticed when I listened to my favorite albums at home. And this, to me, is the highest praise anything can get."
