When Part-Time Audiophile's editor Marc Phillips needed an appropriate tonearm cable to properly assess the performance of the Bergmann Modi turntable with its Thor linear-tracking air bearing tonearm ($18,100 for the complete system), he thought of AudioQuest.
Compared to the simple cable Marc had on hand, "the AudioQuest Angel was far more neutral, revealing and noise-free. I’m so glad that I didn’t settle for that first set of phono cables," he decided.
The AudioQuest Angel tonearm cable contributed to an overall sound that was remarkably spacious, detailed, and focused. Marc writes:
"...[T]his clarity that I heard so consistently was elevated by its sense of flow, that everything I heard was full of a momentum and energy that was propelled by the music instead of the machinery behind the playback. The music existed in space, free from artifacts."
