AudioQuest Curated Playlists

At AudioQuest, we're passionate about music and sound, and our quest for exciting new music has taken us to beautiful places all over the world. Here are some of our favorite songs. We use these playlists for work and for pleasure, in our Shared Listening Equipment Evaluations, at dealer events, and at public shows.

While we'll occasionally use some of these songs as "demo tracks" to evaluate a certain aspect of a system's performance or to provide some insight into a component's sonic nature, we're generally much more interested in music as a source of pure pleasure. When we do think a certain track is particularly well-suited for use as an evaluation tool, we'll be sure to distinguish it as such.

For the most part, you'll be as likely to hear these songs in the AudioQuest Sound Room, in Irvine, California, as in our homes around the world. We're happy to share them with you and we hope they become part of your own audio quest!

  • 10 Years of AQ-Direct in Canada

September 2023 marked 10 years since AudioQuest began selling direct to dealers in Canada! This big, genre-spanning playlist pays homage to some of our favorite Canadian music, from right across the decades and genres.
  • A Life in Hi-Fi: AudioQuest's Dan Poulton

In this playlist, Daniel Poulton, AudioQuest’s Director of Sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), takes listeners on a musical journey through his career in hi-fi.

Dan explains, “Whilst I wouldn’t particularly recommend this as ‘demo music,’ I have undoubtedly enjoyed hearing each track in the year it was released through some nice systems — the first 10 years were spent working in retail stores, the next 10 in Export Sales — so I have been blasting these tracks through a range of listening options, from million dollar hi-fi systems in shops, at shows and at home, to a DragonFly and some headphones on planes."

Join Dan Poulton on this Audio Quest. We hope you'll discover something that inspires and shapes your own musical journey.

  • AudioQuest Dragon: Indispensable

In his review of our flagship Dragon interconnects, The Absolute Sound's editor, Robert Harley, used these tracks to help communicate Dragon's outstanding sonic performance. In his review, Mr. Harley concludes: "AudioQuest’s new Dragon is not only the most transparent and revealing interconnect I’ve heard, it’s also the most musically rewarding... Dragon is expensive, but in the context of a reference-quality system, it is indispensable." Read the review at https://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/audioquest-dragon-interconnect/ and listen to the playlist to recreate Robert Harley's experience through your own system.
