Regional Sales Manager
Reporting to the Director of Sales, Canada, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be focused on sales and education in support of the AudioQuest dealer network in Quebec and the Canadian Maritimes. In this role, the RSM would support AudioQuest’s diverse and growing range of customers through on-site education and daily sell-through activities. The position is remote, based in Montreal, and will require significant travel throughout the assigned region.
The Regional Sales Manager “owns” the territory for which they are responsible. With support from AudioQuest HQ, this role is responsible for educating dealers and customers on AudioQuest products and equipping AudioQuest dealers with best sales practices. The person in this role needs to be self-motivated with a competitive nature while also being able to clearly, effectively, and respectfully communicate the brand’s values through education and interaction with customers. This role requires 50% or more travel throughout the region.
Objectives
• Manage the day-to-day relationships with identified regional accounts and ensure the smooth running of those accounts
• Achieve agreed targets for turnover and margin
• Develop and implement plans to realize growth potential
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development of medium- to long-term account planning. Monitor accounts’ sales performance and deviations from targets. Identify reasons for performance and suggest actions to sustain or improve.
• Manage the day-to-day relationships with key personnel at each account — planning, stock control, sales operations, marketing, finance. Liaise with appropriate account contacts to ensure sales and business objectives are achieved.
• Analyze stock and sales data for each account to identify opportunities for sales and improved efficiencies, manage stock levels, secure orders, spot and resolve potential problems before they become significant.
• Work with internal teams in developing and managing the forecast, coordinate the sales orders to ensure pricing is accurate and that orders can be delivered by the promised dates, understand lead times and inventory levels, and ensure that the appropriate levels are provided for service and support.
• Partner with marketing team to coordinate executing the brand with our retail partners. Define local market needs that will drive greater brand awareness.
• Provide timely insight on market trends in all areas including, but not limited to, competitive placement, pricing, promotional and marketing activity, and any additional relevant information.
Required Skill Sets
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in a regional sales role in the performance audio industry and/or equivalent Retail Sales Experience
• Building and fostering longstanding relationships with the targeted account base
• Excellent communications skills that range from account management to region-wide educational sessions
• Frequent travel to the accounts/stores
• Strong analytical skills
• A curious, creative personality; a sense of humor; and a strong drive to succeed
Compensation
• CAD $100-$120k
